At this year's Open Day, West Yorkshire Police are providing an innovative and engaging initiative to educate you about the dangers of cybercrime: the Cyber Crime Escape Room. This interactive experience is designed to raise awareness about various online threats and to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to protect your customers, your business, and yourself in the digital age.
The Cyber Crime Escape Room offers a hands-on learning experience where you will be challenged to solve a series of puzzles and tasks within a set time limit. Each task is based on real-world cyber threats, such as phishing scams, ransomware attacks, and identity theft. You must work together to identify and mitigate these threats.
West Yorkshire Police have collaborated with their cyber security unit to develop the content of the escape rooms, ensuring that the information provided is accurate and practical. This initiative is part of a broader effort by the police to combat cybercrime through education and community engagement. By increasing public awareness and understanding of cyber threats, the police aim to reduce the incidence of cybercrime and help individuals and businesses protect themselves online.
This session contains transferable information and skills that you will be able to transfer to your customers.
The group that successfully navigates the Escape Room in the shortest time not only gains bragging rights but the promise of a trophy for the winning team.
There will be plenty of chances throughout the day to join the experience. Each session lasts 1 hour, with 4 sessions in total, each consisting of 7 groups of 4 individuals.
